Lab Orders & Tracking

SuiteMed’s Lab Orders and Tracking module eliminates the need to complete paper order forms and enables providers to electronically order labs directly from a patient’s visit note while they are still in the exam room with the patient. The “Link With” feature can be set to automatically trigger lab orders associated with certain diagnoses. The module is HL7 compatible and currently interfaced with Quest Diagnostics to enable lab orders and results to be sent electronically.

The flexibility of the Lab Orders and Tracking module enable providers to:

	View all labs that have been ordered and their status including the number of days since each request was sent
	Choose how results are delivered: via mail, FAX, or electronically—results can then be linked immediately with the lab requests and filed into patients’ charts
	View results through the My Task screen and quickly contact the patient if necessary
	Represent lab results graphically on Chart View
	Use built-in HL7 interface to create integration with other labs
	Automatically direct certain lab tests to be sent to specific labs
	Automatically direct certain lab tests to be sent to specific labs based on patients’ insurance requirements
